08 Feb 2010
"Macca" McCormack is returning to Singapore enreoute to preparation for his assault on the 2010 racing season.
One of the world's greatest ever triathletes will spend a week training in Singapore with the team at Singapore based Beats Per Minute and Macca tells us he loves spending time in Singapore and will be running the MaccaX BPM camp over the Chinese New Year whilst in town.
A selection of athletes preparing for the Aviva Singapore Ironman 70.3 Singapore to be held on March 21st have signed up to get some training tips from Macca.
We spoke to Macca at his Sydney training base recently where he told us "I had a fantastic time racing in Asia last year and the people, sights and food I encountered in Singapore were wonderful. We held the first MaccaX BPM training camp out of Singapore in July last year and it was a huge success with a great crew of Singapore based athletes joining me to train.
I'm really looking forward to getting back to Singapore for some hard training."
Keep an eye out for Macca as he trains with the team from Beats Per Minute here in Singapore. On Wednesday night Macca will be appearing at an exclusive charity event hosted by ANZA Cycling Singapore and sponsored by Beats Per Minute in aid of the Challenged Athletes Foundation.
