2010 IRONMAN PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP PROGRAM
ATHLETE INFORMATION:
What is the Ironman Pro Membership Program?
To compliment the creation of the Ironman Anti Doping Program, WTC has launched the Professional Membership Program in an effort to streamline and enhance the quality and athletic standards of Ironman branded events as a global brand. Membership to the Program is MANDATORY to all athletes who intend to race in the Professional Division in any recognized Ironman or Ironman 70.3 event. By virtue of this membership, all Professional athletes will be included in the Ironman Anti Doping Program, and are subject to the Code of Conduct and Rules.
What is the Fee for Membership?
An annual Membership fee of $750.00 will be charged. The Program will run on the calendar year. In 2010 the Program will be applicable to all events from February 1st 2010 through December 31st 2010.
What does this include?
Approved athletes will be issued an Ironman Membership number. This number will enable complimentary entry for the athlete into all Ironman and Ironman 70.3 events around the world, EXCEPT the Ironman World Championship & Ironman 70.3 World Championship. Entry to both the World Championship events needs to be paid at the time of qualification on site.
How do I apply for an Ironman Membership number?
Athletes are required to send a copy of their professional license/status from their respective National Triathlon Federation
OR
For those athletes whose National Governing Body does not issue official professional / elite licenses, a resume of top results from the previous 2 years will need to be submitted.
Please include the country which you will be representing for the 2010 season.

Where do I register for Ironman Membership Program?
On approval of paperwork, a confirmation email will be sent along with an Ironman membership number and a link to the sign-up page on Active.com, at which time full payment will be required.
Once I have my Membership number, how do I go about entering an event?
It is important to understand that registration for the Ironman Professional Membership Program is SEPARATE from the registration procedure for selected events. Athletes must still go through the registration procedure expected by their selected event organizers in a timely manner. Athletes may contact the event organizers directly or they may send a request to proregistration@ironman.com indicating the event(s) for which they wish to register. Inclusion of a current membership number in the request will expedite this process.
No general event registrations will be accepted without a valid Ironman Membership Number.
Are there any entry limitations or deadlines?
For 2010 there is NO deadline entry for the Membership Program. However the Membership registration process must be completed before an athlete can request general registration to an event. See below for entry deadlines to selected events.
Each event organization reserves the right to set cut-off dates for registration. We will endeavor to keep these deadlines updated on the site.
